Ifop-Fiducial’s survey for LCI, Le Figaro, and Sud Radio revealed that Emmanuel Macron’s group would receive 18% if the left-wing parties formed an alliance or only 16% if these parties stood alone.

The pollster surveyed 1,089 adults on the internet between Monday and Wednesday, with an error margin of 1.4 to 3.1 percentage points.

Macron dissolved the National Assembly on Sunday and called an election, after his party was thrashed by the extreme right in the European Parliament Elections.

In the poll, an alliance of four parties on the left garners 25% of first-round votes, pushing Macron’s group to third place. If they are grouped together, the Socialists have the best results with 13%.
