United States NYMEX natgas ordinary day-to-day futures, choices quantities climb in September

( Reuters) – Ordinary day-to-day quantity (ADV) in united state gas futures and choices on the New york city Mercantile Exchange climbed in September from a year previously, information from its proprietor CME Team revealed.

For the month, futures ADV was 492,825 agreements, up 35.3% from a year earlier. Futures ADV struck a month-to-month document of 677,112 agreements in November 2018. Thus far in 2024, futures ADV was 498,627, up 25.6% from a year previously. Futures ADV struck a yearly document of 477,468 agreements in 2020.

Economically worked out European-style choices ADV was 187,375 in September, up 44.9% from a year previously. Choices ADV struck a month-to-month document of 273,679 in February 2024. Thus far in 2024, economically worked out European-style choices ADV have actually climbed to 206,211, up 63.4% from the previous year. Choices ADV struck a yearly high of 136,873 agreements in 2023.
