IBM to shut China R&D division, impacting over 1,000 tasks, Yicai reports

BEIJING (Reuters) – IBM will entirely shutter its China R&D, with resulting discharges impacting over 1,000 tasks, Chinese media electrical outlet Yicai reported on Monday, pointing out a declaration from the firm.

IBM, the globe’s most significant modern technology solutions firm, did not right away react to an ask for remark.

The choice comes in the middle of the firm’s deal with dropping need for its equipment and obstacles in development markets like China.
