Lady passes away in single-vehicle accident in Montgomery Area

A Lowndesboro lady passed away Friday night after a single-vehicle accident in Montgomery Area.

Elizabeth L. Mitchell, 57, was fatally harmed while driving a 2008 Hummer H2 at 5:15 p.m. on Old Selma Roadway near Cantelou Roadway, concerning 2 miles west of Montgomery, the Alabama Police reported. The automobile went off the roadway, struck an indicator, stabbed in the back the roadway and rescinded, authorities stated.

ALEA reported that Mitchell was not using a seat belt when the accident took place. She was expelled from the automobile and passed away at the scene.

The accident is under examination by ALEA’s Freeway Patrol Department.
