Vans Skateboarding has introduced three fresh color schemes and a revamped design for the AVE 2.0, which the company celebrates as its “most sophisticated skateboarding footwear to date.”

The unmistakable professional skateboarder Anthony Van Engelen, widely recognized as AVE, and the shoe company initially joined forces five years prior. The AVE 2.0 debuted in March of 2024 sporting a knit texture. The latest version of the trainer swaps in airy mesh for the prior knit composition. Moreover, the AVE 2.0 now comes in novel shades named medium grey, and lavender fog/black. There’s also an exclusive AVE bench green color that will be sold solely in select skateboard stores.

In a statement issued by Vans, the kicks’, “upper’s newly introduced base material consists of the described mesh, fused to RapidWeld™ suede and artificial TPU. Gentler heel stabilizers along with extra padding around the tongue and collar result in enhanced comfort, while the advanced UltraCush™ midsole fitted with a TPU reinforcement shank and an outsole merging an UltimateWaffle™ traction motif with sticky SickStick™ rubber.”
